Thomas “Tom” Youngs was born in Norwich, England on 28 January 1987.
He is a retired rugby player who played for Leicester Tigers and England as a hooker.
He won 28 competitive caps for England, including selection for the 2015 Rugby World Cup, between 2012-2015.
Tom played all three test matches when he was selected for the 2013 British and Irish Lions tour to Australia.
Youngs won the Premiership Rugby title with Leicester in 2013, winning the league’s Player of the Season along the way.
He played a total of 215 times for his team between 2006 and 2021. He also won the 2011-12 Anglo-Welsh Cup with Leicester.
Tom attended Gresham’s school and has former Leicester and England scrum-half Nick Youngs as his father and the current Leicester and England scrum-half Ben Youngs as a brother.

Tiffany Youngs, the wife of former England rugby player Tom Youngs, died after a long and brave battle with cancer.
She was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer, a type of blood cancer, shortly after the birth of her daughter Maisie in 2014.
Three years later, her illness was declared terminal.
In 2017, Tiffany was informed that her illness was incurable, and she could die in a matter of months. This devastating news led to Tom’s brother Ben Youngs withdrawing from the British and Irish Lions tour of New Zealand.
After 12 months of alternative treatments, including cannabis oil and fasting for 17 hours per day, her terminal cancer was finally cured.
She began to look into alternative treatments after being punished for stem cell treatment.
She only ate fish and took cannabis oil, and she cut out sugar, red meat, and milk from her diet.
Mrs Youngs also used an ENS cosmodic treatment. This uses metal prongs that send electric pulses into the body to stimulate cells.
She stated that she felt so good, she would wake up one morning and realize she didn’t have it anymore.
However, the illness returned and Youngs was forced to take indefinite leave from Tigers duties in order to care for his wife, who was seriously ill. He then retired from the game.
Tiffany death was announced on June 8, 2022.
Maisie Youngs is the only daughter and child of the couple.
