Thompson-Herah was the defending champion, and that’s the second fastest 100m to ever be run by a woman.
Thompson-Herah, who defends her title won in Rio five years ago, narrowly improves Florence Griffith Joyner’s previous Olympic record of 10.62 from 1988.
