Tyga Parents: Meet Stevie J. Stevenson And Pasionaye Nguyen, the father and mother of the American rapper.

Micheal Ray Stevenson, known professionally as Tyga, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, television personality, and social media star.

Tyga signed a recording deal with Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records and Republic Records in 2008 after a number of independent releases.

His album’s major label debut Careless World: Rise of the Last King was released in the year 2011 and featured the hit songs “Rack City”, “Faded” (featuring Lil Wayne), “Far Away” (featuring Chris Richardson), “Still Got It” (featuring Drake) and “Make It Nasty”. The album’s success was followed by Hotel California (2013) and The Fan of a Fan: The Album (2015) in collaboration with Chris Brown.

Because of the disputes with Young Money, Tyga’s next album, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, was released independently on the 23rd of June 2015. The album, which was executively produced by Kanye West, became his lowest selling album to that point, selling 5,000 equivalent album units within the first week of release.

Stevie J. Stevenson

Stevie J. Stevenson, who has Jamaican roots, is his father. He is currently serving a life sentence and is separated from his son.

Pasionaye Nguyen

Pasionaye, who is of Vietnamese descent, is Tyga’s mother, and she began dating Stevie at 16 and gave birth at 18. After a few instances of domestic violence, Nguyen split with Stevie and decided to raise Tyga alone.

Pasionaye has a very close relationship with her son. The son has even tattooed her name on his neck and added her voicemail to his track Black Crowns. The future star tiger was nicknamed by the woman in honor of Tiger Woods, and this nickname became Tyga.
