Tyga Siblings: Who Are The Rapper Brothers And Sisters? Micheal Ray Stevenson, known professionally as Tyga, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, television personality, and social media star.
Tyga signed a recording deal with Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records and Republic Records in 2008 after a number of independent releases.
His album’s major label debut Careless World: Rise of the Last King was released in the year 2011 and featured the hit songs “Rack City”, “Faded” (featuring Lil Wayne), “Far Away” (featuring Chris Richardson), “Still Got It” (featuring Drake) and “Make It Nasty”. The album’s success was followed by Hotel California (2013) and The Fan of a Fan: The Album (2015) in collaboration with Chris Brown.
Because of the disputes with Young Money, Tyga’s next album, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, was released independently on the 23rd of June 2015. The album, which was executively produced by Kanye West, became his lowest selling album to that point, selling 5,000 equivalent album units within the first week of release.
After a period of poor sales and mixed reviews from earlier material, his maiden 2017 single “Taste” (featuring Offset) reached the top spot at 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, being his first Top 40 single since “Ayo” featuring Chris Brown in 2015. The track was later used as the lead single on his 7th album, Legendary, which was released in the year 2019.
