According to an obituary posted on the website of Jeffress Funeral Home in South Boston, Virginia, former Packers and Jets tight end Tyrone Davis has died.
He is reported to have died on 3 October 2022 of an undisclosed illness at the age of 50.
Davis played for the Green Bay Packers for six seasons which he joined from the New York Jets where he played for two seasons.
He was released by the Packers in August 2003 due to poor performances.
He had struggled with weight challenges at the later stages of his career.
Davis was selected 107th overall in the fourth round of the 1995 National Football League (NFL) Draft by the New York Jets.
