Saint Kitts and Nevis politician and cricketer, Vance Winkworth Amory, has passed away at the age of 72.
He served two terms as Premier of Nevis from 1992 to 2006, and again from 2013 to 2017. In addition to serving as Minister of Sports for the Nevis Island Administration. He was the founder and leader of the Concerned Citizens’ Movement.
The airport in Nevis, Vance W. Amory International Airport, bears his name.
Amory was born in Rawlins Village on 22 May 1949. His elementary, primary, and secondary school education were all in Nevis. Since childhood, he has been an active member of a local church in Nevis.
