Her career began during her university year spent studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where at the age of 19, she was hired as a journalist by the independent, English-language expat newspaper The Argentina Independent.
It was also during this time that MTV hired her to host shows for them in Buenos Aires. On Capital FM radio, she was the anchor of the Capital Breakfast program.
