Nigerian artist and songwriter David Adeleke also known as Davido has been accused by one of the fans of Wizkid that he stole a song from another.
A Twitter fan identified as Thuglife has accused Davido of stealing the song “Jowo” from another artist after he cialmed the artist, Victor AD confirmed it on Hip TV. He also disclosed that after Victor AD confronted Davido over stealing of the track “Jowo”, he blocked him from all his social media pages and threatened to destroy him if he mentions it publicly.
This accusation is a serious one that can ruin Davido’s celebration. It would be recalled that in the early hours of Monday, Davido shared a video celebrating his 10th anniversary in the music industry. He shared a video which contain some old videos performing on stage when he was trying to build his career and brand. It seems this accusations can lead to a scandal.
One of Davido’s tracks which went viral and most played on musical applications is “Jowo”. Jowo was one of the tracks on Davido’s album, A Better Time. He did a music video of Jowo with former BBNaija house mate Nengi a few weeks after the main album was released.
However, he has been accused of stealing the song from Victor AD. In a tweet spotted on Thug’s page, he wrote, “Victor AD just confirmed davido stole his record “Jowo” according to AD; OBO heard d song after they recorded “Tire You”. He was surprised to see d song on ABT without him/his mgt consent; He said davido blocked him on Socials & threatened to ruin him. This wickedness”.
