Victoria Azarenka is a Belarussian professional tennis player who was born on July 31, 1989, in Minsk, Belarus.
She became the world’s number 1 singles player for the first time on January 30, 2012, and had held onto that position for a combined total of 51 weeks.
Azarenka became the first Belarusian player, of both sexes, to win a Grand Slam singles title when she won the 2012 and 2013 Australian Open. She has 21 WTA titles under her belt.
Azarenka was an Olympic singles Bronze medalist at the 2012 London Olympics.
