Swansea talisman Andre Ayew claims the club are thriving under family values after reaching the Championship play-off final on Saturday, 22 May 2021.
The Swans booked their place in Wembley next week after drawing 1-1 with Barnsley at but advanced 2-1 on aggregate.
They will now face Barnet for a slot to play in the English Premier League next season.
Ayew’s goal in the first leg gave the Swans a 1-0 advantage heading into the second stanza and that proved crucial.
The Ghana captain has patted his teammates for their shoulders-to-the-wheel approach.
”I have been in a lot of squads in my career, I have met different players and different coaches but this squad is unique. This squad- the unity here is not fake, it’s real,” Ayew said in a post-match interview.
”We understand each other. Sometimes we argue like anywhere but it’s always for the better.
”I’m very proud of the squad. I’m very proud of this team. I’m very proud of what they have done-what we have done as a team.
”Now we just need to-like I said-relax, prepare, enjoy this moment because it’s not every time you get to do good things in football.
”When you have any to enjoy, as soon as you enjoy then to get back work because we want to win on Saturday.”
