Ghana captain Andre Ayew was on target for the sixth time in a row in the match as Al Sadd made it seven consecutive wins at the Qatar Stars League on Tuesday, October 26.
Ayew’s goal in the 49th minute of the game made a difference as Al Sadd beat Umm Salal 3-1 away from home.
The victory will mean that Al Sadd remain top of the league, with three points clear of their nearest rivals Al-Duhail.
Ayew however is third on the top scorers’ charts with three goals and two in front of Kenya top player Michael Olunga and teammate Baghdad Bounedjah in the respective charts.
The former Swansea City player won his first trophy in the Asian nation last Friday when Al Sadd captured their 18th Emir Cup at the expense of Al Rayyan.
Ayew scored an unbeaten six times in the victory on Tuesday evening, with a typical poacher’s goal.

This 31-year-old has now been living in Qatar for four months now and already making an enormous impact. One which director of football Xavi Hernandez is sure to be happy about.
There were offers from top-flight European clubs, but was keen in trying out his skills elsewhere.
Ayew has spent more than 10 years in Europe, beginning in Marseille and later going to be a part of Swansea, West Ham, and Fernabache.
