Just a little over one year after signing with Arsenal in the 50 million euros deal, Thomas Partey, has scored his first goal for the London club.
The former Atletico Madrid player scored his much-anticipated first goal of his career for Arsenal on Friday, against Aston Villa.
Partey was the highest of all to kick into the net in the favour of Arsenal’s Gunners at the start of their Premier League encounter at Emirates.
Prior to that, he was lucky that his close-range attempt struck the crossbar.
The goal was achieved in his 40th game in the Gunners since the start of his campaign in October last year.
He’s not been able to play for Arsenal due to injuries.
It is also Partey’s third goal from his last four matches, He scored two goals for Ghana in their double win against Zimbabwe during the World Cup qualifiers early this month.
