Ghana forward Abdul Majeed Waris netted the winner as RC Strasbourg defeated German side Freiburg in a preseason friendly on Saturday.
The 29-year-old tapped in from close range following an impressive run down the left by Habib Diallo. who had forced a save from the Freiburg goalkeeper.
Summer signing Kevin Gameiro opened the scoring for Strasbourg in front of a packed Stade de la Meinau.
The Ghanaian then doubled the lead in the second half before the Bundeliga side pulled one back with just a minute left. Yannik Keitel scored for Freiburg.
Strasbourg will now wait for the start of the French Ligue 1 next week.
They begin their campaign with a home game against Angers.
