Video Of How Beyonce Tried Sampling Esther Smith’s Song For Lion King Project Pops Up

A video of how American singer, songwriter, and actress, Beyonce, tried sampling Ghanaian gospel singer Esther Smith’s song for her Lion King project has popped up.

Ace Ghanaian gospel artist Esther Smith was selected for one of the most important music projects that featured tons of African artists, the Lion King album by Beyonce Gissele Carter, which was released in 2019.

Beyonce directed an ABC documentary and had it executive-produced. One of her team members was seen asking about Esther Smith’s ‘Ensuro’ song. She wanted to know who the artist was and what album it is on.

A lady believed to be from her company, Parkwood Entertainment of Ghanaian descent was seen put a call to her Grandmother in Ghana. She wanted to know the identity of the artist and the album on which it could be found.

She was unable to get the help from her Grandmother as she refers her to search on Ghanaweb or YouTube for Ghana songs. The lady laughed and suggested that it was done, but that it had failed.

The documentary showed that many African artists were considered. We can assume there was no need for us to spend time enquiring about the song, especially considering the fact that Parkwood is very discreet about their project. Therefore, we did not consider an open inquiry.
