Sensational Ghanaian Afropop and Afrobeats singer, Wendy Asiamah Addo, popularly known by her stage name Wendy Shay has revealed the motive behind making her ‘Shay Concert’ free.
According to the ‘Masakra’ hitmaker, she appreciates how her fans stream her songs on various streaming platforms and as such will continue to make her concert free as a thank-you gift to her fans.
She added that she knew she needed to appreciate her fans for making her the top female artiste in the country.
“They streamed my music. I was the topmost streamed female artiste last year [2022] so I thought ‘why not do something for my fans?”
She added that her free concert is also a way for her to prove to her fans that she thinks about them.
“It’s very big to me. I mean I am who I am because of [them]. They play a very big role so I feel like that is the best way I can give back to them for them to feel the connection and know that I think about them too,” she added.
