The ‘Shayning Star’ album from Ghanaian female sensational singer Wendy Shay has hit over 2 million streams on music streaming platform Boomplay.
Wendy Shay released her second studio album ‘Shayning Star’ a couple of months ago under her record label, RuffTown Records after having a very successful debut album ‘Shay On You’ a couple of years ago.
Her musical career has come under various forms of scrutiny and criticism as many believed she was signed to replace the late female singer Ebony Reigns who met her untimely death on the Kumasi- Sunyani road through a motor accident in earlier 2018.
The 10 tracklist album features some other top Ghanaian artists like Quamina MP, Fameye, Kofi Mole, Kelvynboy, Shawn Storm, Efya, Praiz of Asakaa Boys fame, KiDi, Bisa Kdei, etc. It has some lead ‘Pause and Dance’, ‘Green Light’, ‘Tender Love’, ‘Slomo’, ‘Kiss Me On The Phone’, ‘Taken’, etc.
Top musical streaming platform Boomplay has unveiled that the singer’s second studio album has hit a total of over 2 million streams on the platform alone. The ‘Uber Driver’ hitmaker took to her social media platforms and announced her new achievement to her fans and music lovers around the world.

Wendy Shay was recently in the news after she subtly threw a shade at controversial social commentator and media personality Afia Schwarzenegger during her performance at the launch of the 2021 Ghana Music Awards UK couple of days ago.
