Wendy Williams Hunter (née Wendy Joan Williams) was born on 18 July 1964 in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
She is an American broadcaster and writer who hosted The Williams Show, a nationally syndicated show from 2008 to 2021.
Before venturing into television broadcasting, she was a radio host and DJ and became known for her on-air banters with celebrities.
Williams became the subject of a reality television show called The Wendy Williams Experience in 20006, the show revolved around her radio show.
Williams who was hyperactive as a child attended Ocean Township High School and went on to attend Northeastern University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in journalism. She worked for the school’s radio station as a disk jockey.
She landed her first real job as a disc jockey just two weeks after she graduated college with WVIS in the U.S Virgins Islands.
Williams is the author of three nonfiction books; Wendy’s Got the Heat, The Wendy Williams Experience, and Ask Wendy.
