Condoleezza Rice is an American politician and professor who served as Secretary of State under George W. Bush from 2005 to 2009 and as National Security Advisor from 2001 to 2005. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on November 14, 1954.

Rice enrolled at the University of Denver when he was 15 years old. Despite having considered becoming a concert pianist in the past, she changed her major to international relations and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in the topic in 1974.

Rice began teaching at Stanford University in 1981. She joined the Joint Chiefs of Staff as a nuclear strategy assistant in 1986, and under President George W. Bush, she was the NSC’s director for Soviet and Eastern European matters, as well as the president’s personal assistant.
