Felix Auger Aliassime grew up in the Quebec City suburb of L’Ancienne-Lorette. His mother Marie Auger is of French-Canadian ancestry, while his father Sam Aliassime is of African origin.
Auger Aliassime began playing tennis when he was four years old and trained at the Club Avantage in Quebec City as a member of the Académie de Tennis Hérisset-Bordeleau after his mother registered him.
He won the Open Super Auray for kids aged 11 to 12 in 2012. Since the fall of 2014, he has been a member of Tennis Canada’s National Training Center in Montreal.
