Ghana Captain Andre Ayew is delighted with Ghana’s victory over Zimbabwe during the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
The Black Stars secured a hard battle 3-1 victory against the Warriors of Zimbabwe in this match day three fixtures of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier at Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
Ghana gained an early advantage by way of Mohammed Kudus in the opening minutes of the game.
The Stars maintained their lead going into the break, with a tie in the process.
Zimbabwe quickly equalized in the second half via the penalty spot as Captain Knowledge Musona scored.
Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey who was playing in a higher position in the wake of the arrival of Baba Iddrisu increased the lead for the Black Stars with the second goal of the match.
Andre Ayew headed in a cross from Baba Rahman to seal the victory to The Black Stars as they keep their eyes for South Africa.
The Al Sadd forward reacted after the win with a post via his personal social media accounts

The Black Stars of Ghana have six points from their three games. They are trailing the Group G toppers, South Africa, by just one point. Ethiopia, which were beaten in their home stadium against South Africa, have three points on the board in third place with Zimbabwe with only one point in the bottom half of the group.
Ghana will play the second match of the double head at Harare with the Warriors on Tuesday, October 12.
