Felix Hassan Hyat, the Kaduna State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has urged all qualified voters to go for their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs).
The call was made on Friday in a statement issued through the publicity secretary of the party, Abraham Alberah Catoh.
He called on all registered voters in the state to get their PVCS before the expiration date while stressing that the deadline extension for the collections of PVCs by INEC was in good faith.
It would be recalled that the INEC extended the date for the collection of PVCs to 5 February 2023.
The statement reminded voters that only those with PVCs would be allowed to vote during the elections and that the party is encouraging every eligible voter to make ensure that they get their PVCs to be able to exercise their franchise during the general elections.
It also blamed the monetary policy of currency redesign without the availability of the new notes and long queues at fuel stations across the country for the low turnout for PVC collection.
