Richard Kingston Maintained As Black Stars Goalkeepers’ Trainer

Former Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Kingston has been maintained as the goalkeepers’ coach of the Black Stars.

There had been reports in the local media suggesting the former Blackpool shot-stopper will not be retained as the Black Stars goalkeeper’s trainer.

However, the Ghana Football Association has revealed that the 44-year-old has been maintained and is expected to continue to work with the national team goalkeepers.

Richard Kingston was named as part of Chris Hughton’s technical team during his unveiling at the SG Mall on Monday morning in Kumasi.

Chris Hughton will be in charge of the Black Stars for a period of 21 months which will last until December 2024.

Hughton will be assisted by Didi Dramani and George Boateng, who served under Otto Addo during his reign.

The team is preparing for its crunch doubleheader 2023 AFCON qualifying match against fellow group leaders,  Angola.

The coach and his technical team will be looking to start the new reign on a winning note.
