Ghanaian rapper, AY Poyoo has registered his displeasure on Twitter after filing for nominations at the VGMA but was not able to grab any.
In a tweet, AY Poyoo revealed that he submitted for five categories which include Best new act and Popular song of the year with his Viral song titled ‘Goat’. but was not able to grab any nomination. He said he has been receiving messages and calls from people for his inability to secure a nomination in the award scheme.
AY Poyoo said even though he is disappointed, the VGMA is a private award scheme and as such, he has no right over the award scheme.
However, he further stated that his hope is to become popular like his colleagues to be recognized in his country.
