Popular Ghanaian actor, Prince David Osei has also reacted to the tragedy that befell the youth of Ejura after they clashed with the military during a street protest.
It would be vividly recalled that we reported that two persons have been shot dead during a clash between them and some military officers at Ejura. Four people were reportedly injured in the process.
This comes after #FixTheCountry activist, Ibrahim Muhammed, also known as Kaaka was reportedly attacked by a crowd at around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021.
Some inhabitants of Sabonline, a Zongo hamlet in the Ejura district, heard his cries for aid, but they arrived late to find him in a critical state.
He was immediately rushed to the Ejura Sekyeredumase District Hospital, after which he was later referred to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Ibrahim was confirmed dead on Monday, 28th June 2021.
In reaction to the shootings, actor, Prince David Osei has expressed his displeasure in the military officers who opened fire on the protestors at Ejura.
Taking to his Twitter, Prince David Osei lamented that the peace in this country is gradually disrupting following some recent happenings in the country. This comeas after Ghana was voted as the second most peaceful country in Africa.
He wrote; “Aiming at protesters and shooting at them is a NO NO what happened to tear gas, rubber bullets……. let’s pray for Ghana …Ghana like joke like joke we about destroying the peace we enjoy as a nation!! Few weeks ago we were voted the 2nd most peaceful country in Africa! #pray4Ghana.”
