Ghana Defender Gideon Mensah Won’t Face Quarantine Anymore On Return From Black Stars Duties

Ghana Defender Gideon Mensah will not quarantine his return to Ghana after his international tour.

The Girondins Bordeaux left-back has received a double dose of vaccination that lets him walk straight into the squad after representing Ghana at Ghana’s World Cup qualifiers next week.

The loaned Red Bull Salzburg player missed two games while participating with Ghana in a match against South Africa last month.

We are able to reveal that the second dose of his medication was administered just a few days ago. He should be free of quarantine for the two weeks that the player is away of his French club.

“There will be no problem, they (Mensah, Edson Mexer and Samuel Kalu have received the vaccine doses. After the second dose, there are two to three weeks of waiting, but by the time they come back, they will be ready to play,” said Bordeaux manager Vladimir Petković.

Gideon Mensah has been named in Milovan Rajevac’s squad for the double header against Zimbabwe next week.
