Ghana captain Andre Ayew and his Al Sadd teammates celebrated Spain midfielder Santi Carzola’s birthday on the morning of Monday before training.
The Spain legend was 37 on December 13, 2021. Just prior to training, players formed a circle to celebrate his birthday.
Carzola and Ayew are key for the Qatari giants as they fight to defend their league title.
The team trained under the new director Javi Garcia. Garcia succeeded Xavi Hernandez following his departure to join the club he played for in his former days, Barcelona.
The Qatari Stars League has been off the schedule because of the FIFA Arab Cup, currently ongoing and featuring the Asian giants playing in the semi-finals.
Andre Ayew has bagged seven goals in his nine league games for the Wolves.
