President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said he’s not responsible for the hardship in Ghana, but former president John Mahama and COVID-19 are to be blame.
It is not surprising that many people are complaining about the hardships under the Akufo government. Many people have criticized the government and expressed dismay in Nana Akufo Addo’s bad ruling.
The President admitted for the first time that Ghana is experiencing hardship during the weekend’s sod cutting for the Juabeng office for the ruling party. He said that he is not responsible for the current hardship, as he met the mess created by John Mahama and his government when he took power.
Hee also blamed Covid-19, the deadly virus, for the current hardship.
“I know Ghanaians are going through a lot. I am aware. And I know the naysayers are doing everything possible to blame me for the hardships. I cannot accept that. It is not my fault that Ghana is hard.”
“When we took over in 2017, Mahama lead NDC Government had messed up the economy. You agree with me that within a short while, we managed to put the economy back on track to the extent that in 2017, we have economic growth of 8%. But all these gains were washed away by covid-19 in a short period of time,” the president added.
Nana Addo encouraged Ghanaians to remain patient with government officials as they try to improve the situation for everyone.
