Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew, scored his tenth goal of the season for Al Sadd as they thrashed Al-Wakrah on Monday.
Ayew, who returned to his Qatari-based club after Ghana’s disappointing AFCON 2021, quickly put that behind him to help his side chase another title.
The 32-year-old netted his side’s fifth in the 6-0 demolishing of their hosts at the Souad Bin Abdulrahman stadium.
Akram Afif opened the scoring after just 12 minutes, before Ridrigo Tabata doubled the lead five minutes later.
Just before the break, Hassan Al-Haydos made it 3-0 before Afif added his second of the game after the break.
Andre Ayew stretched the lead to 5-0 as Abdelkarim Hassan completed the mauling in injury time.
