Famous American actress and movie director, Regina King has finally returned to the red carpet months after the death of his only child.
Regina King lost his son, Alexander Jr. to suicide just a few days after his 26th Birthday and has since been private until last weekend when she was spotted on the red carpet once again.
King attended the Filming Italy Festival in Sanda Margherita di Pula in Italy last Friday and received the Women Power Award after a warm welcome from colleagues including Naomie Harris who shared a passionate hug on the red carpet.
The actress and her family were devasted over the unfortunate incident and asked the media to respect their decision to a private time.
“Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian. He is such a bright light who cared so deeply about the happiness of others. Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you,” Regina told E! News.
