Born on March 3, 1927, in Oakboro, North Carolina, United States, Ollen Bruton Smith was a promoter and owner/CEO of NASCAR track owner Speedway Motorsports, Inc.

He was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame on January 23, 2016. He was ranked #207 on the Forbes 400 list with an estimated worth of $1.5 billion in 2005 and fell to #278 in 2006.

Bonita Harris is the ex-wife of Bruton Smith. The couple got married in 1972 and divorced in 1990 with four children.

Marcus G. Smith and Anna Lisa Smith are their known two children out of the four.
