Gabriel Landeskog was born on 23 November 1992 in Stockholm, Sweden. He is a professional ice hockey player who plays as a left winger and is the captain of the Colorado Avalanche in the National Hockey League (NHL).
In the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, he was selected second overall by Colorado Avalanche. He was named the fourth captain in Colorado Avalanche history on 4 September, making him the youngest captain in the history of the NHL at the time; he was 19 years 286 days.
Landeskog won the Stanley Cup with the Avalanche in June 2022. He began his youth career in hockey by playing for Hammarby IF in Sweden.
At age 16 years and 90 days he became the youngest player in Djurgården’s history; after having debuted for Djurgården in Elitserien on 21 February 2009 against Brynäs IF.
Landeskog is married with two children.
