Born on 5 March 1993 in Middletown, Ohio, Kyle Joseph Schwarber is an American professional baseball player. As an outfielder, he plies his trade with the Philadelphia Phillies in Major League Baseball (MLB).
Schwarber was a first-round selection by the Chicago Cubs during the 2014 MLB draft; he went on to help end the Cubs’ 108-year trophy drought by assisting them to win the 2016 World Series.
He had his high school education at Middletown High School in Middletown, Ohio where he played football as a linebacker, participated in show choir, and went on to play college baseball for the Indiana Hoosiers when he attended the Indiana University Bloomington.
Schwarber’s nickname is “Schwarbs”.
On March 20, 2022, Schwarber agreed to join the Philadelphia Phillies on a four-year, $79 million contract.
