Hanspeter Sinner is the father of Italian professional tennis player, Jannik Sinner. His father and mother, Siglinde Sinner, work as a chef and a waitress at a ski lodge.
He has a brother named Marc. Sinner began both skiing and playing tennis at age three.
From eight to twelve years old, Sinner was one of Italy’s top junior skiers, winning a national championship in giant slalom at age eight and earning a national runner-up at the age of twelve.
Sinner become the youngest ATP title-holder since 2008 after he won the 2020 Sofia Open. He has five ATP titles in singles and one title in doubles under his belt.
