There is juju in football – Asamoah Gyan

Former Black Stars captain and record goal scorer, Asamoah Gyan has waded into the debate of whether there is the use of juju in football. The Ghana legend has stated that there is the use of juju in football.

He revealed that during his playing days at the colts level, he and his teammates were sometimes taken to centers when they performed rites that would help them win games, he added that it is the secret of players who engage in the use of juju.

Asamoah Gyan told Dan Kwaku Yeboah TV that there were times when they had employed the use of juju but were beaten by huge scorelines, stating a four-nil loss to Liberty Professionals as an example.

He recalled when a man once told his team to do something for two goals. Sometimes rites were performed on a padlock and were told the number of goals the team would score.

Gyan believes everyone has their faith and source of divine inspiration which most people keep a secret but with an observing eye, one could decern.
