Legendary Ghanaian beatmaker and record producer, Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus has hinted that he is going to sue artist manager, Bullgod and former member of defunct music group 5five, Papi.
According to the beatmaker who doubles as an actor, Papi and his team never paid a dime for all the work he did on their projects.
He added that even though they had not fulfilled their end of the bargain they went on to make money from the sale of CDs and gigs.
“You released the songs into the public domain without paying the studio fees. You made money off the songs by selling CD and cassette rights, you played shows and went on tours with the music you did not pay for…”
Appietus went on to say that no one should come to him to beg him once he takes Papi and his team including Bullgod to the stands to get what rightfully belongs to him.
“When I start taking them on please no one should come and beg. Ghana is run by laws. I rest my case.”
Papi had recently accused Appietus of pocketing some monies generated from the hits back in the day. As to who is telling the truth is a matter of time.
