Black Galaxies midfielder David Abagna has revealed how his team is preparing ahead of its quarterfinal match against Niger at the 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament.
Speaking to the media in a pre-match press conference, the midfielder stated that the team is battle ready and focused on the match against Niger.
He admits that the team made some mistakes in the group stage and the playing body and the technical team have taken measures to correct them. He says the team is ready and focused because they have tried to build on what went well.
David Abagna posited that it is his first experience in the competition and it has been good on a personal level. He added that the team has been struggling to get used to the weather conditions in Algeria.
The RTU attacker expressed his view that the tournament is a major one for players on the continent to exhibit their skills to a wider audience than they are used to.
On Saturday 28 January the Black Galaxies will come up against Niger in the quarterfinals of the 2022 CHAN tournament at 7 pm.
