Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan said Morocco are one of the favourites to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Gyan revealed that Atlas Lions conceded only one goal in the qualifiers and that they are the strongest candidates to go far in the tournament next year.
The legendary striker spoke highly of Morocco after they were drawn against the Black Stars on Tuesday evening in Yaounde.
Gyan was honoured by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as he joined other African legends to assist in conducting the draw.
Gabon and debutants Comoros are the other teams in Group C, which Gyan described as tricky.
The 34-year-old has scored 51 goals, more than any player for the Black Stars.
According to him, he hasn’t retired and would be proud if he is included in the squad for the tournament scheduled for next January in Cameroon.
Gyan last played for Ghana against Tunisia at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
