South African rapper AKA is set to return to the spotlight after mourning the loss of the love of his life, Anele Tembe.
The celebrated hip-hop rapper will be mounting the stage at the annual 947 Huawei Joburg Day on the 28th of May. This according to a poster shared by Anele Mdoda who expressed excitement for the event.
The bill for the event also includes the talented Black Motion, MiCasa, his baby mama DJ Zinhle and musical band Goodluck. Now, it has not been confirmed whether AKA was booked before the tragic incident or after. If Supa Mega needs more time to himself, then it could be a possibility that he might pull out if he was indeed booked before Nelli’s passing.
Whatever the case may be, his fans are happy to see him trying to make a return to the spotlight and give them the eccentric performances associated with him.
Breaking his silence on the tragic passing of his fiancée Anele, he said: “I have lost the love of my life…and every day feels like a mountain to climb. I miss Anele, so much and I’m heartbroken at the unfulfilled life we had planned together.”
“The tragic loss of Anele has taken a great toll on me emotionally and psychologically. Insinuations and innuendos made on my personhood have made it even more difficult to process, and the strain our families have taken is unspeakable. Which is why at this time I choose to retreat to honour my journey, praying that the moments of stillness may bring me closer to some clarity,” he added.
