Akuapem Poloo Drops First Reaction On Social Media After Her 90 Days Sentence

Ghanaian social media star and actress Rosemond Brown, well known as Akuapem Poloo, has been sentenced to a 90-day in prison by the Accra High Court after her appeal was denied.

The actress will serve her 90-day prison sentence, which was handed down by the Circuit court. The High Court that Akuapem Poloo appealed for her sentence to be replaced by a fine, said her 90-day sentence was not as harsh as she claimed within her plea.

The court while confirming the Circuit Court decision said the punishment was intended to inflict a lot of harm on the convict, which would then serve as a deterrent to her and other. The High Court denounced their interference in the punishment handed out through the Circuit court.

The judge has asked her to carry on with her 90-day sentence in jail. The court also has directed her son to be placed with an adult within the family to look after him while his mother is absent.

Following her conviction, Akuapem Poloo, dropped her initial reaction and put her faith in the Lord during the remaining 90 days in jail. She also requested that her son be well until she is released to prison.
