Black Stars striker Antoine Semenyo was a late substitute in Bournemouth’s hard-fought victory over Liverpool.
Bournemouth defeated the Reds by a 1-0 scoreline at home in the Premier League on Saturday.
Antoine Semenyo was an 88th-minute substitute for Bournemouth, coming in for Dominic Solanke.
With the time spent on the pitch, Ghana forward made an interception, put through two accurate passes, and shot off-target with six touches made overall.
The Cherries were determined on the day to charge forward, particularly on the counter-attack, this inevitably paid off when in the 28th minute Ouattara managed to beat the offside trap and went past Van Dijk before laying a cutback for Philip Billing to turn it home.
Later in the match, the Reds had an opportunity to draw level from the spot but Mohammed Salah who took the penalty kick missed even though he sent Cherries goalkeeper Neto the wrong way.
Antoine Semenyo joined Bournemouth during the winter transfer window from Bristol City and has since made five appearances for the Cherries in the English Premier League.
