Ghanaian socialite and actress, Rosemond Alade Brown, well known as Akuapem Poloo has been sentenced to 90 days in prison by the Accra Circuit Court.
Recall, the actress was convicted on Wednesday, 14 April 2021 after she pleaded guilty to the three charges leveled against her. This was after she posted a naked photo of herself and her seven-year-old son on his birthday.
She was charged with the publication of obscene materials, undermining the integrity of her son and also detracting his dignity.
She was asked to appear in court today, Friday, 16 April be fore she was remanded into police custody and made to undergo a pregnancy test.
Well, today, Akuapem Poloo has reportedly been sentenced to 90 days in prison after pleaded guilty for the charges leveled against her.
In reaction to this, social media commentator, Archipalago Mufasa has recounted how he advised the actress to desist from posting her nakedness on social media but she didn’t listen.
He took to Twitter to share an old video where he advised the actress. He captioned the video; Saw this and I kept advising Akuapem Poloo from time but she didn’t listen.. look what happened now!!!
Social media is currently buzzing with reactions from tweeps following her sentence. Well, some still believe that she should have been pardoned with a warning as they trended the hashtag #FreeAkuapemPoloo while others oppose that she should be punished and seek justice to prevail.
