Ghana’s all-time leading goalscorer, Asamoah Gyan has expressed his view on the type of coach the Black Stars would require going forward.
According to the ex-Ghana striker, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) should appoint a coach who has the experience and a football philosophy that will be clear for everyone to see as the Black Stars coach.
Asamoah Gyan said in an interview on Dan Kwaku Yeboah TV that we need an experienced coach, someone with strong credentials. He added that even if the individual is inexperienced, his impact on the team’s style of play must be evident and apparent.
He continued that the GFA can hire an inexperienced coach but should make sure he understands the game and is someone who will ensure that his philosophy will be understood by all, and will not take orders but be firm in his discharge of duties.
Since coach Otto Addo left the role in December, the Ghana Football Association has been on a search for a replacement to take charge of the Black Stars.
