The Creative Director of Bullhaus Entertainment, Bullgod, known in private life as Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, has disclosed his team is holding discussions with Ghana’s Inspector General of Police (IGP), George Akuffo Dampare, in a bid to build modern prisons.
Bullgod who estimates that he has been in police cells about ten times says that the current design of Ghana’s prisons is nothing to write home about.
He stressed that cells are more challenging than prisons because prisons are a bit easier because they resemble a compound house with cells where one can stretch your legs in the morning, but in cells, one can’t move.
Bullgod further stated that there are people who sit in the same spot for 2-3 years, and nobody will feed them if they don’t have someone taking care of them.
Bullgod disclosed that he and his men have designed aesthetically pleasing mini prison cells.
“It’s like a mini prison where you can stretch in the morning because it’s depressing,” he said.
The artist manager said he was inspired to build new cells after he had been in a cell for 11 months over the alleged murder of Fennec Okyere, an artist manager.
