Chris Hughton Will Build His Black Stars Around Majority Of The Players That Went To The World Cup – Laryea Kingston

Former Ghana international, Laryea Kingston believes new Ghana head coach Chris Hughton will succeed in his new role.

Laryea Kingston is of the view that if Hughton is able to work with the majority of the players featured for the nation at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, he will have a very solid team to work with.

He said he believes Chris Hughton will still maintain at least 70% of the players that went to the World Cup in the current squad and if one looks at the squad that we took to the World Cup, they are not bad at all.

The coach further added that you go in and you build a team, and you try to bring in the quality ones that will come and give the regular players in the team competition. That’s how to build a team.

Kingston concluded that if you have 70% out and leave 30% which means you are now coming to build the foundation from the scratch and it will take longer.

The new Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton was officially unveiled on Monday, 20 February.
