Ghana star Jordan Ayew is likely to feature in Crystal Palace’s Premier League match against Tottenham on Saturday after returning early from international duty with Ghana.
Ayew was named in the Black Stars squad for the qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa early this month.
The 29-year-old was involved in the 1-0 win over Ethiopia on Friday but did not travel to Johannesburg because South Africa is a red list country and any player returning to the UK from there would face mandatory isolation upon re-entry.
Ayew was forced to withdraw from the squad and return to Crystal Palace Monday to start preparations for the weekend game.
Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira has used Ayew in their first three games of the season and is expected to play in the early kickoff encounter.
Ayew’s absence affected the Black Stars, who were beaten 1-0 by Bafana Bafana to lose the top spot in the qualifiers Group G.
