David Goldberg was an American management consultant and businessman. He was the founder of LAUNCH Media and the CEO of SurveyMonkey.
He was the second husband of Sheryl Sandberg after the American business executive, philanthropist, and billionaire, and her first husband, Brian Kraff, divorced after one year of marriage from 1993 to 1994.
Dave and Sheryl got married in 2004. Together, the couple has a son and a daughter. Sandberg and Goldberg frequently discussed being in a shared earning/shared parenting marriage.
Sheryl also raised the issue of single parenting conflicting strongly with professional and economic development in America.
Dave Goldberg Cause Of Death: How Did Sheryl Sandberg Ex-Husband Die?
Dave Goldberg died unexpectedly on May 1, 2015, while vacationing with Sandberg at a private beach-front villa near the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Punta Mita, Mexico.
He was pronounced dead at a hospital in Nuevo Vallarta. Goldberg’s death was initially attributed to falling off a treadmill while exercising at a gym and suffering head trauma and blood loss.
Sandberg has subsequently said that her husband’s death was due to an arrhythmia caused by undiagnosed coronary artery disease, and not due to falling from a treadmill.
She has a foundation called Sheryl Sandberg & Dave Goldberg Family Foundation, named after herself and her late husband.
