After serving time for second-degree robbery, Adam Hicks, a former child star of numerous Disney films and TV shows, is now free to live his life (on parole).
Hicks was detained in 2018 after being accused of carrying out a number of armed robberies in Burbank, California. In July 2021, he received a 5-year prison sentence.
The judge gave him credit for the 1,460 days he served while awaiting sentencing, so he was released in March, which was a great relief for him.
Hicks, who acted in the films “Zeke and Luther,” “Pair of Kings,” and “Lemonade Mouth,” and his girlfriend Danni Tamburo were detained after patrolling the Burbank neighborhood and flashing a gun at passersby while stealing their cellphones, cash, and other belongings.
Hicks was sentenced to five years in prison, but his girlfriend was only given three. Before being arrested, the actor had a history of violence; he had once shot himself in the leg while out with friends, and court documents noted that he had been “extremely uncooperative” with the police.
