Emmanuel Gyasi Forced Off With Injury As Spezia Claim Huge Win Over Inter Milan
Ghanaian forward was forced off with a slight knock as his team Spezia recorded what could become a season-saving 2-1 win over Inter Milan.
The Ghanaian forward was taken off after being on the field for 81 minutes, with his side a goal up against their opponents on the day.
Spezia’s opened the scoring in the 55th minute through Daniel Maldini.
Salva Ferrer who replaced Emmanuel Gyasi conceded a penalty just a minute after coming on giving Inter Milan the chance to equalize which striker Romelu Lukaku expertly taken.
The host however claimed all three points from the spot just three minutes to the close of the match after Dumfries conceded a penalty. M’bala Nzola dispatched the penalty kick to give Spezia the win.
It is yet to be known what the extent of Emmanuel Gyasi’s injury is.
He did not make it into Chris Hughton’s 25-man squad for the doubleheader 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Angola.
