Ex-Black Stars player Mark Edusei has stated his opinion on how the national team can return to the pinnacle of African football.
Ghana has failed to impress at recent tournaments with the latest being a group-stage elimination at both the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The last time the nation won an Africa Cup was about four decades ago, even though it had come close to annexing the trophy on two occasions in recent times; 2010 and 2015.
Mark Edusei speaking in an interview called for a well-developed plan to help the Black Stars.
He posited that other countries have made a lot of investment in their game, they have their programs and plans but we don’t have those plans for our national team, so until we start developing our football, it will be difficult for us.
Edusei played for several clubs across Europe, including, Hapoel Petah Tikva, Lecce, Cosenza, Sampdoria, Catania, and Bellinzona.
