Former Ghana international Yaw Acheampong has called on Ghanaians to give their backing to the new Black Stars technical team in order for them to succeed.
Chris Hughton who has vast managerial experience, having managed the likes of Tottenham Hotspurs and Brighton and Hove Albion is filling the void left by Otto Addo who left the role after Ghana’s group-stage World Cup exit.
He will be assisted by Mas-Ud Didi Dramani and George Boateng who both served under the tenure of Otto Addo.
Yaw Acheampong told Bryt FM in an interview that there are no certainties when it comes to coaching because there are a lot of factors that go into it and therefore called on all Ghanaians to support the technical team.
He urged Ghanaians to pray for the fulfillment of the ultimate goal of the nation, which is to win an election.
Black Stars will be hoping to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be held in Canada, Mexico, and the US.
It is the expectation of many Ghanaians that Hughton can lead the team to success by winning next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
